Emma Visits the World’s Most Luxurious Ship
Emma’s Day Onboard the World’s Most Luxurious Ship – Regent Seven Seas Grandeur
#Ad Earlier this month I joined a CLIA Choose Cruise ship visit aboard Regent Seven Seas Grandeur in Southampton. Often described as “the most luxurious ship at sea”, I was keen to find out if Grandeur really does live up to the title. From the very moment I stepped onboard, it seemed that she might! I was wowed by her artistry, elegance, and casual luxury.
Regent Seven Seas Grandeur in Southampton
Fast Facts – Seven Seas Grandeur 💎
Launched: 2023 – Regent’s newest jewel at sea
Price tag: $535 million USD (and worth every sparkle!)
Guests onboard: Just 744 – boutique luxury on a grand scale
Crew: 600 – that’s almost one crew member for every guest
Suites: 372 – and yes, every single one has a balcony
Decks: 10 – filled with art, elegance and hidden luxuries
Godmother: Sarah Fabergé (hence that gorgeous Fabergé egg in the atrium)
Star of the show: The Regent Suite – 4,443 sq. ft. of pure indulgence, complete with its own spa, solarium… and a mattress costing over £200,000!
First Impressions – The Atrium
The Atrium (pictured above) is a showstopper, full of clue to the designers attention to detail. At its heart sits a bespoke Fabergé egg – the first permanent display of its kind at sea. It sparkled in the light and immediately set the tone: opulent, timeless, and artistic.
Grandeur’s Godmother is Sarah Fabergé, and the ship’s art collection includes around 1,600 pieces – even a Picasso displayed in the Regent Suite.
The Suites
I couldn’t wait to explore the accommodation, and each suite was more beautiful than the last.
The Regent Suite – Honestly the most impressive suite I’ve ever stepped into. Spanning more than 4,000 sq. ft., it boasts a private solarium, a complete in-suite spa (complete with sauna, hotbed and steam room), and sweeping 270° views. Even the mattress costs over £200,000! With its Picasso artwork, private dining room, and butler service, it’s less of a suite and more of a destination in its own right. Absolutely stunning
The Grand Suite – Light-flooded and elegant, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows, I loved the fireplace flame sculpture and this suite struck me as the perfect balance of space and sophistication. It just might have been my favourite!
The Concierge Suite – Technically the “entry-level” suite, but it feels anything but basic. With its marble bathroom, walk-in wardrobe, and private balcony, it’s a serene and stylish retreat at sea.
Dining Destinations
Dining is something Regent is acclaimed for, and the choice onboard Grandeur was seriously tempting.
Casual venues include:
Coffee Connection – a café-style spot for everything from lattes to liqueur coffees.
La Veranda – informal dining with a dazzling lunchtime spread. Loved the ocean view tables for two!!
Pool Grill – perfect for al fresco bites with ocean views.
Formal venues include:
The Study – an exclusive private dining room seating up to 14, reserved only for Regent Suite guests.
Prime 7 – a classic New York-style steakhouse.
Chartreuse – French dining with a modern twist, presented with gorgeous art deco flair.
Pacific Rim – Asian flavours brought to life with sushi, stir-fries and more.
Compass Rose – the elegant main dining room makes every dish feels special.
My visit ended with a spectacular lunch here, created especially for us by Executive Chef Dino Schwager and served on Versace plates. Our menu included lobster with melon, seafood bisque, a perfectly cooked steak, and a rich chocolate dessert. It was absolutely delicious – the ideal finale to a very special day.
Life Onboard
Every corner of this ship oozes comfort, elegance, and thoughtful design that allows Grandeur to offer plenty of ways to relax and enjoy life at sea:
Pool deck with easy-access steps, jacuzzis, and tiered sun loungers.
Observation lounge to watch the world go by in style
Culinary Arts Kitchen for cookery lessons and demonstrations
Sports deck for bowls, shuffleboard, a pickleball court, and a putting green.
Gym and Exercise Centre with Technogym equipment in a bright airy space
Serene Spa & Wellness Centre with sauna, steam rooms, and even an ice room.
Library, card room, boutiques, casino, and observation lounge for quieter moments.
Constellation Theatre a great space for evening entertainment with very comfortable seats.
A Perfect Ending
So, is Seven Seas Grandeur really the most luxurious cruise ship on the planet?
With a Fabergé egg in her atrium, a Picasso in the Regent Suite, a £200,000 mattress, and even a private dining room tucked away between restaurants… I think she just might be.
Seven Seas Grandeur is without doubt the most luxurious ship I’ve ever been on. If you dream of cruising in style and comfort, this is the ship that sets the bar.
As for me? I’m off to buy a lottery ticket… or two
