🚢 Cruise Port Basics
Where ships dock: No city centre – the island is a nature reserve. Cruise ships lie alongside a long pier or anchor offshore for a tender transfer. Passengers are allocated to a dedicated cruise beach from one of the four available.
Facilities: Minimal – visitor centre, signage, rest rooms, staff at landing points. No ATMs; rely on shipboard accounts for purchases.
Accessibility: buggies to transfer passengers along the pier if required. Paths flat and level
Transport from port: All excursions require pre-booking with cruise lines. Guided 4x4, buggy, or bus tours provide transport from the beach to wildlife parks, resorts, and other attractions. DIY exploration is not possible.
