Emma's Island Princess Cruise reaches the Arctic Circle

Day 6. Sea Day Island Princess reaches the Arctic Circle ☀️

Island Princess Cruise - Arctic Circle

Emma recently cruised aboard Princess Cruises' Island Princess to the Arctic Circle. She had such an incredible experience that we are sharing her daily diary with you, so that you can see just what an amazing time she had!

A lovely relaxing sea day, enjoying a spot of onboard shopping and quizzing with our friends Rich & Jan who we sailed to Canada with last year. 23 out of 25 seemed to be our best yesterday and accepted second place graciously!

Arctic Circle!!

A bump in the road at 4pm signified our arrival in the Arctic Circle, 66° north - only joking the sea is a millpond

The Midnight Sun become much more noticeable. Sunset is 23.07 and Sunrise at 03.16! We are going to have to start closing the cabin curtains for once as otherwise sleep is near on impossible 🤦🏽‍♀️😂

Midnight in the Arctic Circle

Sea day

A delicious dinner in the main dining room, Brie parcels, fish n chips and warm chocolate cookie and ice cream for me!

Neil Lockwood from The Alan Parsons Project and ELO entertained us in the show before we finished our evening sat on the prom deck, enjoying a warm, sunny evening! 17° and calm seas.

Next stop Lofoten Islands, where I’m preparing to be WOW’ed!

A super day onboard 🇳🇴
